Vision:

The vision of the QCHAT initiative is to "set the standard for global quality and excellence in cargo handling at Maryland's Port of Baltimore."

The QCHAT initiative was created as a vehicle to help the MPOB accomplish/achieve its vision.  Specifically, it assesses performance areas, identifies problems, and takes corrective action steps to improve the quality handling of cargoes.  In addition, the QCHAT initiative develops preventative procedures to ensure that problems do not recur.
