Mr. Theodore Venetoulis

Theodore (Ted) Venetoulis is the chairman and CEO of  Corridor Media Inc.,  a regional business and political news magazine serving the Baltimore Washington corridor.  He is also chairman & CEO of  H & V Communications, a global company providing custom marketing and publishing for economic development, transportation, tourism, and convention organizations.

Mr. Venetoulis is a founding member and director of the Columbia Bank Corp.  He is a member of the Executive, Personnel and Compensation Committee and the Strategic Planning Committee.  Mr. Venetoulis is also chairman of the Governance Committee.

Mr. Venetoulis is a board member of the Baltimore-Washington Business Partnership.  He is also a president of the Mayor’s Selection Commission for Convention and Tourism.  

Mr. Venetoulis is a visiting professor at Johns Hopkins University, Goucher College, and UMBC.  He served as county executive from Baltimore County from 1974- 1978 and was also a gubernatorial candidate.

He is the former owner and publisher of the Times Newspaper Publishing Group  (purchased by the Sun Paper).  He is also the former owner and publisher of Record Publishing and Printing Company  (purchased by The Washington Post Company).

Mr. Venetoulis is a former anchor of the WBAL--TV news magazine – Edition Eleven.  He is also a commentator and news analyst for WBAL-TV and radio.

Mr. Venetoulis has a Master’s Degree from Johns Hopkins University in  Public Policy and International Relations.  He also has a Master’s Degree from American University in Government and Public Administration.

He is the author of two books:  The House Shall Choose – a history of the two Presidential elections determined by the House of Representatives, and Against the Urban Wall, a study of urban politics.

Mr. Venetoulis has written and lectured extensively on politics, governance, economic development and media and journalism. He is married with three children.
